Living Clean

Sustainable Luxury

Egg Homes have been designed to combine luxurious living with payback to the planet in a world where our impact on the environment is under increasing scrutiny.

How the houses are built, how we manage the site and how we embrace the surrounding landscape all contribute to our level of sustainability. We’ve chosen the latest energy efficient systems and combined them with traditional materials and techniques to create ‘healthy’ homes. Working with sustainability experts, we’re setting new standards for energy efficiency, exceeding current guidelines.

For us, sustainability is about supporting the community as well as the environmental aspects. We’re using local suppliers and have taken on an apprentice from the area; we’re supporting local schools and charities, and getting involved in local projects such as the Hincaster Trailway. Local mental health charity Growing Well are important to us and we’re helping them financially, as well as providing man power and machinery, and through the Growing Well orchard based on the Hincaster site.

How we do what we do

From concept through to completion, our project has thrived on the joined up thinking of those involved – architect, builder, landscape architect, local council and suppliers.

All 22 egg Homes are being assessed under the Home Quality Mark (HQM); a Mark of excellence bestowed on new build homes to give people the confidence that their properties are well-designed, well-built and cost-effective to run.
